Boiler Servicing

What will our engineer do during the service:

  • Gas tightness: Test to check for gas leaks on any appliance, pipe work or fittings.
  • Gas pressure: Test to check the appliance is operating at the correct gas pressure.
  • A flue analyser: Test to ensure there are no unsafe emissions from your boiler, adjustment is normally necessary.
  • Inspect your boiler: and controls to ensure they are operating safely and correctly, and fill and vent the radiators.
  • Clean the condensate trap: and remove the build-up of debris.
  • Visually inspect: the boiler to check for corrosion and leaks.
  • Complete the Manufacturer Benchmark: yearly certificate and provide a Gas Safe certificate valid for one year.

Why Annual Boiler Servicing Matters

Having your boiler serviced every year is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your home and family. A professional service doesn’t just check that everything is working – it makes sure your system is safe, efficient, and reliable. Faulty or neglected boilers can leak carbon monoxide, an odourless and potentially fatal gas, or even develop gas leaks that increase the risk of fire or explosion. An annual inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer gives you peace of mind that your boiler is operating as it should.

The Dangers of Not Servicing Your Boiler

When a boiler is neglected, small problems can quickly escalate into serious risks. Blocked flues, damaged seals, or faulty safety devices may go unnoticed until it’s too late. The result can be dangerous levels of carbon monoxide, higher fuel bills, or a complete boiler failure in the middle of winter.

Some of the main dangers include:

  • Carbon monoxide leaks – silent and deadly, only detected through proper testing.
  • Voided warranties and insurance issues – many policies won’t pay out if servicing is missed.
